Ballet
Classical foundation, from first positions to full variations.
A family-owned studio where ballerinas, hip-hop dancers, and praise dancers all call the same floor home.
Since 1995, Bodies In Motion has been teaching Philadelphia's children and adults that the performing arts build something deeper than technique — confidence, discipline, and a lifelong relationship with your own body. Every class on our floor is an invitation to show up, work hard, and leave a little taller than you came in.
Classical foundation, from first positions to full variations.
For dancers ready to rise, with the strength to back it up.
Rhythm you can hear from the hallway.
The American musical tradition, fast and expressive.
Street funk, Philly style, taught by dancers who live it.
Movement as worship, joy as technique.
Flexibility, strength, and fearlessness in equal measure.
The fundamentals that make every other class click.
Candy Sneed opened Bodies In Motion with one floor, one mirror, and one belief — that every child in North Philly deserves a place to dance. Thirty years later, that belief is a three-decade legacy, an award-winning hip-hop company, and thousands of former students who still come back to say hello.

"My daughter started in Ms. Sneed's ballet class at four. She's sixteen now and still dancing here. There's nowhere else like it in Philly."

"Bodies In Motion is the reason my son has the confidence to walk into any room. You can't teach that. They do."
Marcus J. — parent
"Three of my kids, three different styles, same studio, same family. That says everything."
